 Artist’s statement:   I greatly admire, and have been influenced by, the work of the late Kyffin Williams, as well as other Welsh artists such as Gwilym Prichard and Wynne Jenkins.  I have been based in north Wales for most of my adult life and have walked extensively in Snowdonia and around the coast of north Wales. It is my passion for this landscape that features prominently in my work. I paint in oils, using a palette knife to produce bold strokes that add strength and texture to my work. My paintings, whilst representational are not photographic, and my aim is to capture the essence of what I see in the landscape and my reaction to its beauty.
