Malcolm Chate John moved to Since then, the wild and rugged
landscape with its changing moods has never ceased to inspire him. He usually starts his work with sketches
in watercolour and pencils, drawing on location during the summer period.
During the winter months he spends time working on large canvases in oil back
in the studio. He likes to develop his subjects towards
abstraction and sometimes incorporates mixed media. John has grown up surrounded by art and
music. He has trained as a sculptor at Coleg Sir Gar, but at present is
